Play with the Cascade Horizon Band this Fall! We will begin our fall music season soon and are looking for players to join us. We welcome all adults and play 4 concerts a year, including our Sound Fourth concert with the Festival Choir.  We provide a space for people of all ages and skill levels to continue playing music. Whether you are an amateur musician, hobbyist, or more advanced player, we offer an opportunity to stay active in music and refine your skills. This is a no audition, non-competitive space for musicians to collaborate. We are accessible to those who may not have had the opportunity to study music formally but still want to participate.  We challenge ourselves with a variety of music: marches, popular numbers, classical, jazz and more. Difficulty varies, but we always encourage players to play what they can. You will add more and more as time goes on. That's what community is all about. Rehearsals begin September 9th. Mountain View High School Band Room at 4:30. No auditions. Brass, Percussion and Woodwinds…all adults welcome. Beginner to advanced. Join us as we begin our new Fall Season. Questions? Auditions for Chamber Music Training Program!   High Desert Chamber Music announces auditions for the Spotlight Chamber Players will be held on September 19-20, 2025. This program is devoted exclusively to the study and performance of chamber music skills and techniques and is offered at no cost to the students selected. Auditions are open to violin, viola, cello, bass, and piano students in grades 6-12 with three or more years of private study and intermediate to advanced levels of playing. Past graduates of the SCP program have gone on to pursue music performance degrees at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, Eastman School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, and others.   The recipients of this award will receive weekly chamber group instruction with Isabelle Senger, as well as individual and group instruction with select visiting artists from the HDCM Concert Series. Attendance at all HDCM events is provided complimentary. Throughout the year, there will be compensated performance opportunities in the community. A one-season commitment is required, and placement and type of ensemble will be determined after the audition process. Redmond Community Concert Association (RCCA) Announces its 25-26 Season! The 2025-26 season celebrates RCCA’s 42nd concert season, featuring another great selection of artistic talent from many genres – diversity with superb entertainment value that appeals to all ages. OperaBend Unveils Its 2025–26 Season! OperaBend is thrilled to “un-mask” its 2025–26 season — a bold and exciting lineup that celebrates the full spectrum of vocal artistry and theatrical flair. This season invites audiences on a journey from young talent to international classics, showcasing the depth, diversity, and drama that only opera can deliver. We open the season on October 11th with Rising Voices: Opera’s Next Generation, a special concert to spotlight some of the rising stars of tomorrow. This program will feature young singers from around the Pacific Northwest, offering an inspiring glimpse into the future of opera. Next up, a Bend Singer Showcase on February 15th, 2026. A vibrant evening highlighting Central Oregon’s finest vocal talent, celebrating the voices that make our region shine, and the perfect addition to your Valentine’s weekend. Next, in May 2026 OperaBend is proud to host Ping & Woof Opera’s hauntingly intimate production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Medium — a chilling psychological thriller brimming with eerie beauty and emotional complexity. And to cap it all off, in June 2026 we will present a sparkling MainStage Finale: Johann Strauss Jr.’s beloved operetta, Die Fledermaus! With its champagne-soaked comedy, mistaken identities, and swirling waltzes, this timeless masterpiece promises an unforgettable night of music, laughter, and joy.  This is a season that dances between tradition and innovation, showcasing the vibrant spirit of opera in Bend!   💛 Support the Music.
