Spotlight Chamber Players Alumni Featured at Pop-Up Concert!
 Come Hear the Music! Due to the rainy conditions, last weekend’s Pop-Up Concert was postponed. This weekend, High Desert Chamber Music will present a double feature – John Fawcett and Mateo Garza. This expanded performance will be held on Saturday, June 18, 1:00pm, at Looney Bean Coffee in Downtown Bend, and is FREE to attend and open to all. Make sure to arrive early to grab your favorite coffee or beverage!
John Fawcett has recently graduated from the Colburn Conservatory studying with renowned violin professor Robert Lipsett in Los Angeles. Mateo Garza just completed his third year at the Eastman School of Music studying with Robin Scott of the Ying Quartet in Rochester, New York.

OperaBend Auditions!
 OperaBend auditions for
2022-2023 on June 25OperaBend will hold 2022-2023 season auditions on Saturday, June 25th at Pinckney Center for the Performing Arts, at the COCC Campus from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Appointments are required.

Repertoire to be chosen from: Verdi’s La Traviata, Rossini’s Barber of Seville, Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci or a Stephen Sondheim musical or musical review. Some roles of Pagliacci are already cast.
Locals welcome. Bring a standard opera aria or bring a song from a Sondheim musical with sheet music to sing. Bring photo and résumé; otherwise, we will take a photo of you at the audition. If you’re auditioning for a principal role, an accompanist will be provided for you for $10. For a chorus audition, there is no fee.
Performances are tentatively scheduled for mid-November and mid-March. |

2022 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES !
Sunriver Music Festival's 45th season will fill Central Oregon with music August 8–21. In two stunning locations - Sunriver Resort’s Great Hall and the brand-new Caldera High School in Bend - Artistic Director & Conductor Brett Mitchell leads the Festival Orchestra and world-class soloists in a remarkable 45th season of the landmark Summer Festival. Four classical concerts, one pops concert, a groundbreaking solo piano concert, and the fun “Discover the Symphony” concert will be on stage this summer. Classical Concert I opens the season August 10th at the brand new Caldera High School auditorium in Bend. Also being held at Caldera High School is the Pops Concert on August 12th and Classical Concert IV on August 21. All other concerts will be at Sunriver Resort's historic Great Hall. "We are looking forward to this new era marking the inaugural season with our new Artistic Director & Conductor Brett Mitchell. This summer will be a breath of fresh air as we return indoors at these two beautiful venues, “shares Executive Director Meagan Iverson. “Maestro Mitchell is an esteemed conductor bringing high quality musical experiences for Central Oregon residents and visitors and we cannot wait for this community to meet him!” This is a great time to consider joining as a Friend of the Festival member because seat reservations open to members as early as April 1 before opening to the public on June 1. Members have first choice of the best seats while helping sustain the musical magic into the 45th season and beyond.
