Sizzling Summer Soirée Tonight!

 Central Oregon Music News

Duo Apaixonado in Final Summer Soirée Today!

Popular Outdoor Concerts Return for a Second Season

High Desert Chamber Music’s popular “Music & Friends” Summer Soirees return this week and will feature a cello-guitar duo in a series of small outdoor concerts at private residences around town.

These intimate, interactive performances will be held outdoors in beautiful Central Oregon settings. As is customary, our “Music & Friends” events include a one set performance (no intermission), light hors d’oeuvres, and wine.

These events will take place in Sunrise Village on July 14. DUO APAIXONADO will make their Central Oregon debut and the program includes a varied program of Brazilian sambas and bossa novas, Argentinian tango, Peruvian waltz, and a Spanish classical work.

As a small non-profit, all proceeds will support our recovery from the economic hardship of COVID, enable our return to our live indoor Concert Series this upcoming season, and support our efforts to provide Educational Outreach programming at no cost to local students, teachers or schools in Central Oregon.

These events are limited capacity, so please be sure to make a reservation! Join us for high-quality live classical chamber music in Central Oregon.

Join the Matching Challenge for High Desert Chamber Music!

Starseed Foundation Awards Grant to HDCM for the Sixth Year in a Row

High Desert Chamber Music has received a matching challenge from the Starseed Foundation for the sixth year in a row. The foundation will match the first $5,000 of funds raised during the challenge. The Starseed Foundation seeks to provide opportunities and exposure to the arts and environment, to improve the quality of life for those in need, and to support social programs that offer cultural and lasting benefit to deserving populations.

In response to this generous opportunity, HDCM has begun a “Starseed Foundation Matching Funds Campaign.” Every contribution will go toward reaching this matching challenge. “We are honored to have the continued belief in, and support of our programs from the Starseed Foundation. We have met this challenge for the past five years, doubling the impact of our generous donors. This challenge coincides with the launch of our second season of Summer Soirees and free Pop-Up Concerts, allowing our donors to support and experience our programs first-hand,” states Executive Director Isabelle Senger.

HDCM's current 14th season continues with their outdoor summer offerings - Summer Soirees and Pop-Up Concerts! These are high-quality live concerts in the beautiful Central Oregon outdoors, allowing you to experience live classical chamber music in a unique format.

Donations can be made on their website (www.HighDesertChamberMusic.com), by phone, or mail. HDCM is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and a qualifying organization for the Oregon Cultural Trust.
